Join or create a room
You are invited
This copy of Aura is not connected to a meeting server yet. It needs a LiveKit server address and token endpoint in its settings before anyone can join. If you are the person setting this up, see the README that comes with the project.
Your Aura account
Anyone can join a room as a guest. To create and host a room, you need a free account — that is how Aura knows the room is yours and gives you the host controls. Your account keeps you signed in on this device: using Aura renews your sign-in, so you only type your password again after 90 days away.
The easy way in: Apple confirms who you are, and Aura gets only your name and email — never your Apple password. If you already have an Aura account with the same email, you land in that same account.
The easy way in: Google confirms who you are, and Aura gets only your name and email — never your Google password. If you already have an Aura account with the same email, you land in that same account. Or use your email and a password below.
Account settings
Set a password
You sign in with Google or Apple, so your account has no Aura password yet. You can set one — after that you can also sign in with your email and a password.
Your personal room
Your number is . It is tied to your account and never changes, so you never have to type it.
A brand-new room gets a fresh 9-digit number for a one-off meeting — for people you do not want to give your personal number to. Aura tells you the number and puts you straight in as host.
You are in the waiting room
The host has been told you are here. You will join automatically as soon as they admit you — keep this page open.
You are on the non-secure copy of this page (its address starts with http, not https). Browsers will not switch on your microphone here. Please use the secure address instead: https://joedgreen.github.io/aura/
Schedule a meeting
Plan ahead: Aura emails each guest an invitation with the join link and a calendar file they can add to their calendar in one tap. Guests never need an account.

Connecting…
Invite people
Send this link to anyone you want in the room. The link fills in the room name for them; they just add their own name.
Panelist link
This is a webinar, so most people join as audience: they can listen and raise a hand, but they cannot talk. Send this link to your panelists — anyone who joins with it can talk.
People in this room
Waiting room
No one is waiting right now. When someone arrives, their name appears here and is announced.
Removed from this meeting
Removing someone also bans them from this meeting: they cannot rejoin it until you allow them back here.
No one has been removed from this meeting.
Recording
Recording is off.
While signed-in users only is on, guests can't join this meeting, and the meeting can't be joined by phone. Everyone needs to sign in with an Aura account first.
Meeting notes
Meeting notes are off.
Meeting notes also record the meeting. While notes are on, everyone in the room can see that notes are being taken. Each person's words are transcribed with their name, and the finished notes and transcript are emailed the same way recordings are.
Captions
Captions are off.
Captions write people's words on screen as they talk, a little behind the sound. They are made on the Aura server itself — and unless meeting notes are also on, nothing is kept after the meeting.
